A look at iPhone 4's coolest tech

Gyroscope: Apple is leading smartphone rivals in this particular feature, dependant on market researcher iSuppli. When Health-related reasons introduced the iPhone 4's gyroscope inside Designer Nexus 4 Case the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (see video below), he was signaling an innovative new wave of gyroscope-equipped smartphones, as "a flood of competitors vie to emulate the feature," Jeremie Bouchaud, an iSuppli analyst, Nexus 4 Silicone Case wrote earlier this year. "Mobile handset makers until recently have demostrated little affinity for gyroscopes. However, the success of theNintendo Wii Motion Plus dvd and blu-ray console demonstrated the consumer good thing about gyroscopes for game playing."

What does the gyroscope give games? The iPhone 4's gyroscope, like those employed in aircraft, measures pitch, roll, and yaw, among other capabilities. And used by tandem with the accelerometer (already utilized in present-day iPhone), it achieves six-axis motion sensing. What Apple describes as "user acceleration, full Nexus 4 Leather Case 3D attitude, and rotation rate."

All these is saddled with new APIs, or application programming interfaces, "that give you extremely precise position information," Jobs said.

Retina display yields: One of the talked-about feature in the new iphone 4 is most likely the high-density 940x640-pixel retina display. Even though the biggest potential issue for consumers within the next quarter or so is definitely the display manufacturer's ability to make an ample amount of the screens to fulfill demand. Low production yields with a LCD panel could impact production volumes--i.e., availability--for the iPhone 4, in accordance with Ashok Kumar, managing director and senior technology analyst at Rodman & Renshaw. And it's also easy to determine why production yields on Apple's retina display was really a challenge: the display comes with a density of 326 pixels per inch. The pixels are very small--only 78 micrometers across--that a persons eye can't distinguish individual pixels.

512MB of cute Nexus 4 case RAM (reportedly):As reported on Friday, the apple iphone 4g is expected to integrate 512MB of random access memory. If true, a great significant for the reason that bigger iPad just has 256MB of memory, as also does theiPhone 3GS. On the web computing device, more system memory means better performance, especially when multitasking, a characteristic iPhone OS 4, available Monday, offers.
